The result was a disappointment to Ethiopia’s sports authorities and supporters.
“It is really a shame and discouraging to see such a result and defeat on our own land. It shows that our team is in a difficult situation for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers,” said Mekuria Tesema, a football fan in Addis Ababa.
Many supporters are expressing their disappointment with the match during which the team under-performed.
The Kenyan team performed well both in the first and second half of the game. They scored the first goal in the first half and two goals in the second half.

However, the cost is being covered by an Ethiopian investor who is among the world richest men.
The match was the first match the Ethiopian team, which is under preparations for its future match.
Ethiopia shares a group with Guinea, Nigeria and Madagascar for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Ethiopian Football Federation was reported to have covered all expenses of the Kenyan team, estimated to be around $ 20,000.
