Team Ethiopia Rebounds, Defeat Madagascar 1-0 in CAN 2012 Qualifiers
(APA) Ethiopia defeat Madagascar 1-0 in CAN 2012 qualifiers
The Ethiopian national team on Sunday defeated Madagascar 1-0 in the African Nations Cup (CAN) qualifiers played in Antananarivo, the Malagasy capital, giving hope for the team in its remaining matches.
The Ethiopian team, accordingly got three points for defeating Madagascar on its own soil.
The Ethiopian team was earlier defeated by Guinea 4-1 in its first match in Addis Ababa a few weeks ago.
The team, being trained by a British coach, will in a few months time face Nigeria and for a return play with Guinea and Madagascar.
Ethiopia is in the same group with Madagascar, Nigeria and Guinea for next year’s African Nations Cup due to be jointly hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
