Mandela’s great-grandchild killed in car wreck after World Cup concert

(CNN) — A great-grandchild of former South African President Nelson Mandela died early Friday morning while returning from the World Cup soccer tournament’s kick-off concert, officials with the Mandela foundation said.
Zenani Mandela, 13, was in a car returning from the show at Orlando Stadium when the wreck occurred, said a spokesman for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
No other vehicle was involved in the wreck, the foundation said.
Zenani turned 13 on Wednesday. She was one of Mandela’s nine great-grandchildren.
