Ethiopian youth Olympic delegation leaves for Singapore
APA-Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) The Ethiopian youth Olympic delegation leaves Addis-Ababa late on Tuesday for Singapore to attend the 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
The 15-athlete team will participate in short distance run and two swimming categories.
The Ethiopian delegation is expected to achieve good results in the short distance run, which will include 1,000m, 1,500m and 3,000m.
The team undertook months of training for the games.
The youth Olympic championship is scheduled from 14 to 26 August with the participation of around 3,000 athletes and over 1,000 officials from across the world.
A number of other African countries will also attend the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
