Announcing the start of this year’s race was City Councilman and avid runner Steven M. Fulop.
“The Newport 10k is an unbelievable event and has been growing every year. It’s something that Jersey City is very proud to have, and we are thankful for the commitment from The LeFrak Organization, developers of Newport,” said Councilman Fulop. “This event gives the city a terrific opportunity to showcase not only our great runners, but also our great city.”
