Last month, we reported that the Ethiopian Sports Federation in North America (ESFNA) had yet to decide on which city would host the 2011 event. Click here for the article.
The choice was between Toronto, Atlanta, and an unnamed 3rd city. Public Relations Manager of ESFNA Fasil Abebe told TsehaiNY that the decision would be made by the end of August.
Recently, a message centering on the decision was posted on ESFNA’s website stating, “After thoroughly examining the proposals from both Atlanta and Toronto, the Executive Committee (EC) has selected Atlanta as the 2011 Tournament site.”
The 2011 tournament will mark ESFNA’s 28th anniversary. This is the fourth time ESFNA will host the tournament in Atlanta, Georgia- home to a large number of Ethiopians.
