Ethiopia’s Meseret Defar aiming for African 3000m record today in Lausanne
From, IAAF : Lausanne, Switzerland – In her quiet understated way, Ethiopia’s Meserset Defar dropped a big bombshell at the press conference ahead of Lausanne’s Athletissima meeting, the seventh stop of the Samsung Diamond League series.
The diminutive distance-running dynamo declared openly that she is looking to go into territory over 3000m that has only been reached on two previous occasions when she crosses the line after seven-and-a-half laps of the track on Thursday.
