‘Yes youth can’ Obama holds event with young African Leaders

(TsehaiNY) – President Barack Obama held a forum with over one hundred young leaders from close to 50 African countries today at the White House.   Today’s event is part of a three day forum in which the agenda will focus on youth empowerment, good governance, and economic opportunity.

Four individuals from Ethiopia that were selected to be part of the forum were:  Mahlet Eyassu Melkie, 29, an environmental activist.  Meron Getnet Hailegiorgis, 27, actress and poet.   Salsawit Tsega Ketema, 30, an entrepreneur.  Yohannes Mezgebe Abay, 35 Vice President of the Pan African Youth Union.
